My Special Family:
Not every family comes together in the traditional way. I have three daughters who are grown and married. And so far, I have eight beautiful grandchildren. I’m so lucky! When everyone is together at our home on Ham Lake, we have so much fun.
Best Vacation:
There’s no place like home and I love living in Burnett County, but sometimes you need to get away. Hawaii is my splurge location and holds a lot of special memories. California scratches a lot of itches for me – wooded hiking, dramatic ocean shoreline, great food and let’s not forget the wine! I also can't get enough walking on the beach in Florida. I have ceaseless energy when it comes to beach walking!
You’d Never Know By Looking at Me:
I’ve done 6 Olympic distance triathlons. I’ve never been first, but I’ve also never been last!
Obsession:
I love fabric! I’ve been sewing since I was 8 years old and a day rarely goes by where I don’t dream about turning a piece of fabric into an amazing garment.
Family Legacy:
My parents gave me and my siblings the gift of believing we could do anything. They gave us the freedom to experience things and taught us about the value of learning and education. We all sing and play instruments, which makes for a loud campfire experience!
